Build Community
Create space for good food, honest dialogue and shared wisdom.
On America’s 250th Anniversary, Gather Friends and Neighbors.
This summer, gather friends and neighbors for an intentional dinner conversation about civility, citizenship, and the future of America.
In a culture of isolation and loneliness, THINQ Dinners offer a welcoming space for friendships to grow while fostering healthy discussion on topics that matter.
Our simple conversation guides, digital invitations and curated talk collection make this a turnkey opportunity to reweave the social fabric in your community.
“All great change in America begins at the dinner table.”
RONALD REAGAN, FAREWELL ADDRESS (1989)
Our Approach
Modeled after the historic Jeffersonian dinners (created by Thomas Jefferson), we’ve created a simple way for you to convene a group of a group of 8-12 participants for an intentional night of conversation around a specific topic.
You bring together the group and plan the meal. We’ll help you guide the conversation.
RULE 1
Focused
Topic
Dinner conversations are focused on one topic or question driven by a 9-minute THINQ Talk watched together or beforehand.
RULE 2
Single Conversation
No side chats, one single conversation where everyone is given the opportunity to express their thoughts.
Rule 3
Respectful Dialogue
When hearing different opinions, seek to understand and disagree with respect, without being a disagreeable person.
Conversation Topics
Center your conversation around a single topic we’ve curated below. We’ll provide discussion guides, questions, recipes and more for your evening.
Once you set your date and topic, register to customize your invitations and receive your free Guide to Better Conversations.
